March of 2024 was a busy month for the lawyers at Hurst Limontes. Attorneys Alex Limontes and Chase Wilson were asked to step in and present at two seminars presented by the Indianapolis Bar Association, Litigation Section and Indiana Trial Lawyers Association, Annual Applied Professionalism Course.

On March 13, 2024, Managing Partner Alex Limontes presented to a packed house at the Applied Professionalism Course for Young Lawyers (APC). The APC Course is required for lawyers in the State of Indiana who have been practicing law for less than three years. The Applied Professionalism Seminar is designed to provide newly-admitted attorneys (within their first three-year cycle) with 6.0 hours of applied professionalism credit, as required by the Indiana Office of Admissions & Continuing Education.

The Program was chaired by Trial Lawyers Therea Ebbs and Kelley Johnson and Alex presented on the topic of “Ethical Digital Marketing for Lawyers.” Alex discussed how lawyers can promote their services without sacrificing professional integrity. The program was at capacity with 125 people in attendance at the Indiana Education Center.

Later on March 21, 2024, Attorney Chase Wilson presented on one of his favorite topics: insurance coverage. Chase joined Coverage Lawyer Jim Strenski and presented at the Navigating the Tripartite Relationship CLE. A Tripartite Relationship arises between the insured and an insurance company when the insurance provider hires an attorney to represent it in a liability case.

The program specifically discussed identifying the Tripartite Relationship, Hypothetical Situations and a list of “do’s and don’ts” when it comes to a relationship. The CLE was followed by a fantastic social hour.

Here at Hurst Limontes, Attorney Chase Wilson has become our resident insurance coverage expert. Chase has a knack for evaluating insurance policies and finding ways to hold insurance companies accountable. After all, we ALL PAY insurance premiums and insurance companies have an obligation to cover losses. Sometimes, insurance companies forget their obligation — but not to worry because the lawyers at Hurst Limontes are here to remind them of their legal obligations!

Interestingly, both programs provided ethical credit for attendees. Alex and Chase were happy to step in and assist the Indianapolis Bar Association and Indiana Trial Lawyers Association.

You can check these programs out online as playback programs and can get credit for the same.
