Konrad Schmid grew up in San Cristóbal, Táchira, Venezuela, before moving to Indiana in search of new opportunities for himself and his wife. His diverse legal background and passion for helping others guide his practice at Hurst Limontes, where he focuses on personal injury law.
Konrad earned his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Universidad Católica del Táchira, graduating in the top 10% of his class. He later attended Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, earning a Master of Laws (LL.M.) with a concentration in Corporate and Commercial Law. Licensed to practice in both Venezuela and Indiana, Konrad combines his international perspective with his strong legal foundation to effectively represent clients across cultures and languages.
While completing his studies, Konrad volunteered over 50 hours of pro bono service in housing law, assisting individuals facing eviction. He also participated in the Hispanic Law Society, deepening his connection to Indianapolis’s growing Latino legal community. Konrad is bilingual in English and Spanish and takes pride in helping clients feel understood and supported through every step of their legal journey.
Konrad plans to continue his involvement with the Indianapolis Bar Association and the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking international cuisines, watching horror films, and cheering on Indiana sports teams. He also loves playing basketball and soccer, spending time with his dog, Kiro, and exploring new cultural experiences with his wife, Leyda Castro, who also practices law here at Hurst Limontes.
